Caroline Serrano do Nascimento, PhD is an Associate Professor at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) and a researcher specializing in thyroid physiology and pathophysiology. She is a permanent faculty member in UNIFESP's graduate programs in Endocrinology and Pathology and serves on expert committees for UNEP/WHO and the Latin American Thyroid Society (LATS). Dr. Serrano has held leadership roles in the Brazilian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism (SBEM) and co-coordinates the Thyroid Club-SP meetings. With international research experience at Yale, Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, her work focuses on endocrine disruptors, epigenetics, and thyroid development.
