He completed his endocrinology fellowship at PUC Campinas in 2006. He is Associate Professor of the discipline of Endocrinology and Metabolism PUC Campinas and head of the Endocrinology and Metabolism department PUC Campinas Hospital. He is a professor of the Postgraduate Course Internal Medicine - UNICAMP. He combines clinical work with clinical research. He primarily works in autoimmune thyroid diseases, with a specific interest in Graves' disease and Thyroid Eye Disease (TED). He was president of the Thyroid Department - Brazilian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism (2023- 2024) and, he has been the PI for several clinical trials.
