I am currently an Associate Professor of Endocrinology at the University of Milan, Italy. I graduated from the University of Pisa, Italy (both medical degree and specialisation in Endocrinology), and then awarded a PhD in Molecular Endocrinology from Cardiff University, UK, where I spent 6 years in total, before coming back to Italy in 2019. My research interests mainly involve Graves' disease and orbitopathy (immunophenotyping, microbiota, clinical trials), thyroid dysfunctions related to Covid-19, thyroid autoimmunity and breast cancer, thyroid disorders induced by immune reconstitution therapy (i.e. alemtuzumab for multiple sclerosis).
