JANETE MARIA CERUTTI

Janete Maria Cerutti is an Associate Professor and Tenured Professor in the Department of Genetics at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), where she also serves as Deputy Head of the Genetics Department and Director of the Laboratory of Genetic Bases of Thyroid Tumors. She holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Passo Fundo and a Master's and Ph.D. in Genetics from UNICAMP. She was a Visiting Professor at Duke University and an Assistant Research Professor at Johns Hopkins Medical School. She is a member of the Editorial Board of renowned scientific journals and reviews articles for various publications and funding agencies. An active member of scientific societies, including LATS, ATA, and SBEM, she has held several academic and administrative leadership roles. She has received significant awards, such as the LATS Young Researcher Award (2001) and the LATS Senior Researcher Award (2015). Currently, she serves as President of the Latin American Thyroid Society (2023-2025).
