Dr. José Augusto Sgarbi is a specialist in endocrinology with a medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine of Vassouras. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology at the Hospital do Servidor Público do Estado de São Paulo and holds a Master's in Metabolism and Nutrition from UNESP (1998) and a Ph.D. in Clinical Endocrinology from UNIFESP (2011). A former President of the São Paulo Regional Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism, he is currently a Professor of Endocrinology and Vice-Director at the Faculty of Medicine of Marília (FAMEMA) and serves as President of the Thyroid Department of the Brazilian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism (SBEM). He has published numerous scientific articles and book chapters in Brazil and internationally.
