Kris Gustave POPPE (Belgium, 23-07-19969) is an internist and adult endocrinologist since 2000. He is head of the endocrine service at the University Hospital CHU Saint Pierre, a teaching hospital from the Free Universities of Brussels (ULB-VUB) in downtown Brussels. He is senior lecturer and scientific collaborator at the ULB. He obtained his PhD thesis in medical sciences in 2005 on thyroid and female infertility at the Free University of Brussels (VUB) and continued thereafter his clinical research on the relationship between thyroid disorders, pregnancy and more specific on the relationships with female (sub)fertility and assisted reproductive technology treatments. He published ~ 100 papers (H-index: 33), gave plenary lectures at several European Thyroid and Endocrine meetings, and "meet the Professor" sessions at the Endocrine Society. He was member of the Executive Board of the European Thyroid Association (ETA) from 2008-2012 and is ETA secretary since 2023. He is member of the editorial board of the European Thyroid Journal (ETJ) since its foundation and Thyroid Research. He was president of the Belgian Thyroid Club (BTC) from 2010-2015, and LOC chair of the ETA meeting in Brussels in 2022.
