Dr. Laura Fugazzola is the Head of the Diagnosis and Therapy Service for benign and malignant thyroid diseases at the Endocrinology, Andrology, and Metabolic Diseases Department of the Istituto Auxologico Italiano, a position she has held since 2017. From 2001 to 2011, she was a Senior Medical Officer in Endocrinology at the Fondazione Policlinico-Ca'Granda IRCCS in Milan. Dr. Fugazzola worked as a permanent Assistant Physician in the Endocrinology Unit at Istituto Clinico Humanitas from 1996 to 2001 and was a research fellow at the National Cancer Institute of Milan from 1994 to 1996. She earned her MD with honors from the University of Pisa in 1989 and completed her specialization in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases at the same institution in 1994, also with honors.
