Prof. Margaret Rosemary Zacharin AM is an Australian adult and pediatric endocrinologist and researcher, recognized for her contributions to the field. She graduated in medicine from the University of Melbourne in 1972 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 1978. She serves as a consultant endocrinologist at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and The Royal Children's Hospital. Formerly an Associate Professor (2004-2013) and later a Professor (2014) at the University of Melbourne, she also held an adjunct professorship at New England University (2011-2019). She has received major awards, held leadership roles in Australian universities, and serves as an international editorial advisor for the Journal of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes.
