MICHAEL TUTTLE

Dr. Michael Tuttle is the Chief of the Endocrinology Service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), specializing in the management of thyroid cancer. He is known for designing and validating the first real-time risk assessment model for thyroid cancer management, which adjusts individual risk estimates based on responses to initial therapy. Dr. Tuttle's research focuses on defining the risk of recurrence and death from thyroid cancer, the role of active surveillance for low-risk papillary thyroid cancer, and the application of minimalistic management strategies. He completed his MD at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, followed by residencies at Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center and a fellowship at Madigan Army Medical Center. He is board-certified in Endocrinology and Metabolism.
