Paul M. Yen is a Professor at Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School in Singapore and Duke University School of Medicine. He holds the position of Head of the Laboratory of Hormonal Regulation in the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disorders Program. Dr. Yen earned his B.A. in Chemistry from Amherst College and his M.D. from Johns Hopkins. He completed his residency at the University of Chicago and fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. Previously, he served as Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School and Associate Professor at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Yen is recognized as a leading expert on thyroid hormones and has received numerous awards, including the 2020 Nagataki-Fujifilm Prize. His research focuses on hormonal regulation, metabolism, and the development of treatments for metabolic disorders.
