Dr. Erivelto Volpi is a Head and Neck Surgeon specializing in thyroid and parathyroid diseases. He trained at the Hospital das Clínicas of the University of São Paulo, where he spent 30 years—four as a resident in General and Head and Neck Surgery and 26 as a staff surgeon, involved in patient care, surgeries, and medical training. His 2011 Ph.D. focused on thyroid surgery safety, specifically intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring of the laryngeal nerves. A pioneer in minimally invasive treatments in Brazil, he trained in Minimally Invasive Video-Assisted Thyroidectomy (MIVAT) at the University of Pisa and in Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) in Seoul with Prof. Baek. Among the first in Brazil to perform RFA, he has since treated patients across Latin America and leads an RFA training course for physicians from Brazil, Latin America, and the U.S.
