Dr. Leonardo Rangel graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 2003. He completed his General Surgery residency at Hospital Clementino Fraga Filho - UFRJ and his Head and Neck Surgery residency at the National Cancer Institute (INCA). He is currently a Head and Neck Surgeon and coordinator of the Head and Neck Surgery department at HUPE-UERJ. Dr. Rangel is a member of the American Thyroid Association (Annual Congress Committee), the American Academy of Head and Neck Surgery (New Technologies Committee), the Brazilian Society of Head and Neck Surgery, and the Latin American Thyroid Society. He has been a guest professor at Johns Hopkins University and a visiting professor at Pennsylvania State University. Additionally, Dr. Rangel coordinates several courses on thyroid nodule ablation and endoscopic thyroid surgery.
